Who I Am
I am Johnathan Javier Barragan, some people call me Javi, some call me Johnny and some call me Coach B. I am currently coaching for the women’s soccer program at Middle Georgia State University. A former MGA knight myself I was a student athlete and graduated with a B.S. in Psychology. Before working at MGA I was a part of the coaching staff at Mercer University working with the men’s soccer program, during that time we won the SoCon Playoff Championship. I’ve also completed a M.S.S. degree in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy and led a U16 Boys Premier Team at Macon Soccer Club, formerly known as Macon United. Before my time with the bears I worked as an assistant coach for Point University men’s soccer program, an assistant for Mount de Sales Academy and volunteered at Rutland High School, where I graduated in 2013. I started playing at the age of six and always enjoyed every minute, hence why I’m still involved with the game. I want to give back to anyone and everyone who enjoys it as much as I do and I want to push athletes be the best version of themselves they can be both on and off the pitch.
